About Malaffi

Malaffi (Arabic for ‘my file’) has been developed in a strategic partnership between Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) and Injazat Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mubadala.

Malaffi is part of the DOH’s strategic priorities, including the promotion of health informatics and eHealth, and is a key component in the digital transformation of the healthcare system in Abu Dhabi.

With universal, Emirate-wide participation, the initiative will facilitate the meaningful exchange of health information between healthcare providers, healthcare professionals and government authorities.

Every medical interaction a patient has, from a routine checkup, consultation or emergency treatment, to laboratory tests or radiology reports, will now be collated in their personal file, with their medical history safely and securely stored and instantly accessible when needed.

Malaffi provides instant access to crucial patient medical information, enhancing transition of care and care coordination, reducing overutilization and duplication of tests, radiology examinations and other diagnostic procedures and enabling the practice of precision medicine.

This robust universal, and secure system will improve both patient experience and satisfaction, giving peace of mind for patients and their families that they are receiving the best possible, safer, faster care, anywhere in Abu Dhabi and later beyond.

Malaffi is a centralized database of real-time public health information, making syndromic surveillance and management of chronic diseases possible by identifying potential spread of disease, helping prevent epidemics and enabling the government to create medical response action plans to ensure public health and safety.

In the future, using AI technology and machine learning, Malaffi will increasingly be used to reduce disease progression, promote improved health outcomes and, ultimately, prolong life.
