Hospital Accreditation Program

In line with its commitment to continue providing world-class healthcare services, the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce the development of new standards for hospital accreditation within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the standards have been internationally accredited by ISQua (The International Society for Quality in Health Care).

The standards have been developed specifically for hospitals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and include specific specialized areas. The standards have been put together while taking into account current laws, regulations and legislation and best practices. The development process was carried under the supervision of international consultants with the participation of hospitals in the healthcare sector and experts in the healthcare field. The standards will be reviewed annually to align with any amendments or changes in laws, regulations and legislation, in addition to undergoing a formal review process every 3 years.
