Shafafiya

Shafafiya policies

To ensure appropriate utilisation of shafafiya services, all users of the portal must comply with the policies described below:

Policy Description Effective date
P001 The user accounts of Healthcare Entities that do not monitor their registered email addresses will be disabled until shafafiya user email address is updated in DOH User Management system in accordance with section 5 of Shafafiya User Registration guide 21 September 2017
P002 The result returned by the SearchTransactions service is limited to 1000 records (will be implemented in conjunction with policy P004) TBA
P003 If no time interval is specified in search criteria, SearchTransactions result is limited to the last 30 days TBA
P004 Entities are allowed to call SearchTransactions service maximum 10 times in an hour during peak hours and unlimited number of times after peak hours TBA
P005 GetNewTransactions result is limited to 100 records TBA
P006 GetNewPriorAuthorizationTransactions result is limited to 100 records TBA
P007 CheckForNewPriorAuthorization service is not in use from 1 Sep 17 TBA TBA
P008 GetNewTransactions result is limited to the last 30 days TBA
P009 GetNewTransactions returns ClaimSubmission and RemittanceAdvice transactions only TBA
P010 User is allowed to call GetNewTransactions service one time every 1 minute TBA
P011 GetNewPriorAuthorizationTransactions result is limited to the last 5 days TBA
P012 Use is allowed to call GetNewPriorAuthorizationTransactions service one time every 5 seconds TBA
P013 Users who download the same file more than 10 times in a day will be disabled TBA
P014 Users are allowed to upload maximum 500 transactions per hour during the peak hours TBA
P015 The total number of service calls per minute is limited to 20,000 TBA

Healthcare Entities that are not able to comply or anticipate disruption of their operations due to implementation of these policies must request assessment of their systems by email to shafafiyasupport@doh.gov.ae mentioning:

  • DOH Licence Number
  • Respective policies and reasons that prevent compliance
  • The time required to ensure compliance
